Monday morning, I sat down to record about fear — your guardian, real danger versus imagined danger — and fear showed up so loud I couldn't finish. My shoulders tightened, my throat closed, my breath got shallow, and I heard my guardian say: if you teach this, people will see you're scared and won't believe you. So I stopped recording and went to my altar for answers.
In this episode, I'm sharing exactly what happened next — the three cards that fell out when I shuffled and prayed, and the three exercises they revealed: stopping assumptions to make your word impeccable, understanding that your words are spells you cast on yourself and others, and the freeing truth that everyone is living in their own dream. I close with a real, unscripted fear inventory and a master commitment I want you to write and say out loud with me. This is Season 5 in action — not teaching from a safe distance, but teaching while living it.
We talk about:
• What happened when fear showed up mid-recording and why I had to stop
• The three-card message from my altar (Four Agreements cards, chakra cards, and prayer)
• Exercise 1: Stopping assumptions to make your word impeccable
• Exercise 2: Your word as a spell — what fear was saying to me, and the spell I chose instead
• Exercise 3: Everyone is in their own dream — releasing the fear of judgment
• The fear inventory exercise, from your real, current place — not theory
• The master commitment: "I will not let fear silence me"
If you've ever frozen up right when you were about to teach, lead, or show up as yourself, this episode is proof that showing up scared and doing it anyway is the real work.
In This Episode
• Grounding practice — "My word is my power. Fear tried to silence me, but I speak anyway."
• What happened Monday morning — fear showing up in real time while recording
• The altar moment — three cards, three messages
• Exercise 1: Stop the assumptions, make your word impeccable
• Exercise 2: Your word is a spell — naming fear's spell and choosing your own
• Exercise 3: People are in their own dream — releasing the fear of judgment
• Fear inventory — bracing, assumptions, spells, and what you choose instead
• The master commitment — "Starting today, I speak."
• Closing affirmations — "I cast my own spell. I am reclaimed. I am unashamed. I am unstoppable."

Fear as Survival: When Protection Becomes a Prison (Faith vs. Fear, Part 1)
💬 Got something to share? Text or voice note me (https://www.buzzsprout.com/2628501/fan_mail/new)
Fear isn't the problem — your body needs fear. It's kept you alive since the day you were born. But what happens when fear stops protecting you and starts controlling you? That's when protection becomes a prison. This month, we're breaking free.
In this episode, I kick off September's series, Faith vs. Fear, by breaking down exactly how fear works inside you: the internal "guardian" whose only job is danger-protect, why it can't tell the difference between a real threat and an imagined one, and how your past becomes your present through pattern matching. I get personal about how this shows up for me right now — heading into a new chapter, a new birthday, new people, new opportunities — and why living in constant protection mode leaves you exhausted, defended, and unable to rest, trust, connect, or feel joy. The good news: your guardian learned fear, which means it can learn safety too. That's September's work.
We talk about:
• Why fear is a survival mechanism, not a weakness
• Real danger vs. imagined danger, and why your body responds to both the same way
• How your "internal guardian" records past hurt and scans for matching patterns
• Why fear becomes your default after real betrayal or trauma
• The cost of living in survival mode — and why you can't rest, trust, or feel joy there
• How to start teaching your guardian safety
• What's ahead this month: recognizing triggers, rewiring through repetition, and building evidence of safety
If you've ever wondered why you're always scanning for danger even when you're safe, this episode explains exactly what's happening in your body — and how to start changing it.
In This Episode
• Grounding practice — "Fear, I see you. I take back my power."
• Fear as a survival mechanism — why your body needs it
• Meet your internal guardian — the alarm system with one job: danger, protect
• Real danger vs. imagined danger — why your body can't tell the difference
• How your past becomes your present — pattern matching and triggered guardians
• The cost of living in protection mode — can't rest, trust, connect, or feel joy
• Sponsor break — Elevate Me's Labor Day Sale
• Teaching your guardian safety — why it takes consistency and repetition
• This month's roadmap — recognizing triggers, rewiring, building evidence of safety
• Closing affirmations — "I don't live in survival mode anymore. I choose faith."
